PRODUCTION PROCESS

RUN Chlodnia is situated in Wloclawek, which is in the middle of the fertile „Kujawy” region. This area of Poland has wonderful soil and a farming tradition that goes back hundreds of years. Due to our good location, we are able to regularly visit the lands and farmers who plant and harvest the fruit and vegetables which RUN Chlodnia produces.

We work closely with the farmers, monitoring every stage of production to ensure the high quality produce that our customers have become used to. The HACCP system means that aspects such as the presence of foreign bodies or any other contamination to the crops is a virtual impossibility.

The blanching and freezing process is closely monitored to ensure that the raw material gets appropriately classified from the very start. The machines are cleaned thoroughly after every production set and alongside our own analysis, independent monitoring bodies employed to make sure that we retain the microbiological standards required by our clients.

The production process is also under strict control of highly qualified staff to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

For example with the sweet corn, which is our flag product, we now produce 7 000 tonnes of raw material. We work under time restrictions which mean that it must take no more than a few hours for it to go from the field to the holding chamber (temp -22°C). This fast production, includes cleaning of leaves, blanching and freezing and guarantees that the sugars are kept intact, thus its taste and consistency, in quality, by far exceed our retail opponents.

As with the IQF fruit and vegetables, our meat and value added foods production is kept under strict HACCP procedures. With its second production hall, which opened in the Summer of 2005, RUN Chlodnia has been able to expand its production to new avenues and a greater volume.

We have a comprehensive system, whereby staff working with the raw material do not interact with production staff. The halls are divided into „sterile” and „non-sterlie” sections for this purpose, Also to ensure that raw materials do not cross paths with the ready product. Our cleaning procedures mean that the production halls and all the machinery are sterilized after every production.

To keep the same high level of quality, after having expanded, the company invested in a number of projects. In 2003, under the program PHARE, RUN, put in a new safety system, monitoring ammonia temperature and a new alarm system to this effect.

The owners and working personnel of RUN Chlodnia, look positively to the future. We are expanding our markets all the time and hope to take over the world in the near future.
